About Lakeside Camping
Tucked beside Stithians Reservoir, this tiny, tranquil site offers electric grass pitches for motorhomes in a truly spectacular Cornish setting. The location is brilliant for active breaks: cyclists can zip along the nearby Bissoe Cycle Trail or pedal to the ruined mine at The Great Flat Lode, while walkers have direct access to the reservoir's woodland and heath trails. With both north and south coasts equidistant, plus Redruth, Helston and Truro all within half an hour, you're ideally placed for exploring.
The facilities are excellent, including wheelchair-accessible showers and toilets in the spacious, step-free block, plus laundry and washing-up areas. An award-winning lakeside pub sits right next door, serving cracking food and local ales – handy when you can't be bothered firing up the barbecue. Dogs are welcome year-round, and there's electric car charging on site. With only a handful of pitches, it books up fast, so plan ahead for this peaceful Cornish gem.

Stayed on the caravan field. Really friendly and helpful owners, nice level pitch, accepts twin axle caravans. Good facilities and a good price. I'd definitely stay there again. Route in / out fro. A30 Scorrier, A393, Buckets Hill then Penhalvean. That's the widest route. Entrance to field was tight and had to unhook caravan and use motor mover but to be fair I've a Swift 850 8 foot wide and long caravan but no issue. It's a 10/10 from me.

We’ve stayed here a couple of times now. We live locally and we absolutely love it. The owners are delightful, the place is immaculate and the pitches spacious. Everyone is very friendly, the honesty shop is great. The loos and showers fabulous too! We’ll be back again !

Very cosy and well kept pods. Great amenities with all essentials plus a decent sized mini fridge, heating system that warmed the pod very quickly and a TV with Freeview. Very comfortable bed. Facilities were a little less well kept; both toilet seats in the men's and one of the women's were broken. Owner is very friendly and the price was very reasonable. Overall a very nice place to stay.

Lovely peaceful site. The pods are compact but easily workable. I stayed on my own for 2 weeks and felt safe and comfortable. The showers and facilities are basic but clean and tidy. Location is fabulous about 15 mins into Falmouth. Lots of lovely walks and pubs nearby. Having an electric charge point for my electric car was perfect. Tip: Take a couple of underbed plastic boxes for storage of clothes and things.
