What visitors say
An absolutely superb little gem hidden in a beautiful setting. Offering peace and lots of amenties, most especially a gorgeous outdoor pool and even it’s own pub on site. I have never seen such a selection on offer in a pub before. The food is excellent and served by lovely friendly staff who make you feel at home. The lodge was superbly fitted out with high end furnishings and fittings. The beds were extremely comfortable and the bedding of a great quality. The price of the accommodation was excellent value and the cost of food was also good value, especially given that they offer to deliver your order to your lodge. Special thanks to Simone who made us feel so very welcome and went over and above and also to Mark who made our visits to the pub especially enjoyable. Can not recommend highly enough.

Perfect. The accommodation (Sunnybanks) was ideal for us for Christmas. Plenty of pots and pans and crockery and glasses. The dishwasher was perfect even on Christmas day. The welcome was lovely and when we couldnt get the heating and water to work properly Simone came over to help and organised the maintenance guy to look at it the following day. It was situated in a lovely position and was quiet for us. The dog exercise area was ideal and our dog loved running around freely. We visited nearby places. Boscastle, Crackington Haven, Port Isaac and Tintegel unfortunately I couldnt walk the distance to the Castle and the shuttle bus was not working to full capacity on the day however we had a lovely coffee and toasted tea take in the tearoom opposite. Our only small complaint at the Lodge was no hooks in the bathrooms for robes and having to leave on the day by 10am before first removing all the bed linen and bagging up all the towels and linen and leave it outside and clean all surfaces in the bathroom and the kitchen. I was exhausted by the time we got into the car at 10am and unfortunately had an Arthritis flare up the following day. Other than that we had a wonderful time and would love to visit again in the warmer weather.
