About Sunset Camping
Feel at ease on every pitch at Sunset Camping, a quiet and welcoming family-friendly spot in central Cornwall. This west-facing site near Redruth lives up to its name with lovely views over the surrounding countryside and sunsets you can watch dip towards the sea. The location is particularly brilliant for walkers and cyclists, sitting close to protected coastal areas around Godrevy and St Agnes (both 10 minutes), the Coast to Coast Trail and the Great Flat Lode Trail, all steeped in attractive scenery and Cornish mining history.
Campfires and barbecues are allowed, dogs are welcome year-round, and Portreath's dog-friendly beach is just 10 minutes' drive. The site offers a good mix of pitches – grass and hardstanding, electric and non-electric, including backpacker spots – plus motorhome facilities. From here, most of the Cornish mainland is within an hour's drive: the Lizard Peninsula, Falmouth, Newquay, St Ives and Padstow are all easy to reach. Redruth itself is five minutes away for shops, pubs and the railway station.

What visitors say
A beautiful small family run site, perfectly located a short distance from the A30 & Aldi & overlooking peaceful fields. Our pitch has an area of hard standing, a large grass area, nearby electric hookup & water points. The toilets & showers are individual pods, which are tidy & functional. This place has been fabulous, the family are super helpful, the site is well maintained & the price is perfect. Our dog has loved laying on his own lawn, watching the world go by. We’d definitely stay here again!

Absolutely brilliant, totally dog friendly. Very clean and tidy, had everything you could need.. we were lucky with the weather in April.. would have booked again for August but the price treble as you'd expect being in the height of season.. highly recommend

It's in a good location and close to amenities. The lady who runs it was not around when we arrived, but explained everything about our pitch and what to expect. This is one of the more basic offerings, with a couple of portable toilets and showers. The main downside to the good location, is the noise of the A30 traffic, which is pretty constant, however this can be overlooked, with the good value it is to stay here. If your happy with the basic amenities, then it's perfectly acceptable.

Loved every moment of my stay, stars at night time, great location to explore beaches, beach walks & plenty of Cornish mine ruins too explore, town not far way within easy walking distance for shops & night outs at pub or restaurant. Bus & train routes are very local. Loved my stay & really want to visit again. Lovely Rural location with field views, can see stars at night & is still close by to town for supplies & things to do.
