About Elm Farm
Perched on a peaceful smallholding in the Nancekuke Valley, Elm Farm offers uninterrupted views across Laity Moor to Carn Brea and Carn Marth. Tree-sheltered grass pitches circle two spacious meadows, leaving plenty of open space for children to roam safely while adults soak up the rural quiet. The site runs on solar power and maintains spotless facilities with constant hot water, though some campers note the amenities block can feel a touch basic for those expecting full campsite polish.
What truly sets Elm Farm apart is the warmth of its owners, whose local knowledge proves invaluable for planning coastal rambles or discovering hidden Cornish lanes by bike (hire available on site). Buzzards and barn owls patrol overhead, and lucky visitors might spot foxes or badgers. The on-site café means you needn't cook every meal, and firepit hire lets you embrace proper outdoor living. Just ten minutes from Redruth's shops yet wonderfully remote in feel, it's a genuine slice of West Country simplicity.

What visitors say
Having had to leave another campsite (Anchor Barrow) as the wind was diabolical up there, we came across Elm Tree Camping. Despite AB not willing to give us any money back for the remaining 3 nights, we sucked up paying for another campsite. Elm Tree was fantastic and so worth it! Ali is lovely, the campsite was well sheltered so no where near as windy. It was tranquil, reasonably priced and the shower / toilet facilities were great. Charging facilities available by the cafe (which is open 9-16:00). Would recommend and would return!

Absolutely lovely campsite, peaceful and spacious with amazing showers, lots of room and nice and hot! Ali is a great host, who showed us round and set us up with a fire pit and some logs. We had the site to ourselves so it was bliss, but there is a little cafe on site and cycle hire. Cannot recommend enough and will definitely be back for another stay. Thank you x

Visited cafe. Delicious Roskillies ice cream. Also took away apple & almond cake which my hubby declared to be the best bought cake he has had in years.

We were visiting the area and popped in to hire bikes on the off chance. The gentleman was so helpful and accommodating. Family of 4 - 2 adults and 2 children aged 3yo and 18m. Equipped us up with 2 bikes with seats on the back for children and helmets. Provided a helpful over the front bag to store some essentials. Great advice about the local routes. Had such a fantastic time and the children loved it. Great facility in such a perfect spot. So impressed with the cycle routes. Gentleman really put the customer first advising us on best position of saddle and how to get on and off with children. V helpful for adults who havent ridden a bike for a while. Real gem of a place with lots of local knowledge. Highly recommend. We will be back!!
