I loved my stay here, Pedn Vounder cliffs are a 5 minute walk away, a good pub and cafe 5 minutes in the other direction, as well as croissants/Cornish pasties/ hot drinks sold on site and visiting food trucks every other night. There are plenty of public footpaths mapped out on the OS map app that took me all over from the site, costal paths and Treen village. I could easily make it an annual visit to this site going forward. As they don’t take online/over the phone bookings, checking in is on a first come first served basis. Check in time is 10.30am, I arrived at 08.30am and was already the 4th person on the list waiting to check in, this is before high season so I dread to think what demand is like during the summer holidays. I stayed 7 nights and all but 1 of those nights the site was full. The field I was pitched on was quiet, had stunning sea views which stretched from the Lizard right to Lands end. There was 7/8 pitches on the field, they could easily have got 3/4 more in but the emphasis is on having space (3 meters between each tent) and ensuring everyone had a sea view. There was no antisocial behaviour and it was quiet every night, I slept through every night with no disturbance. The showers are token operated and last 5 minutes a token (tokens from site shop). The washing machine is £5 a wash, it’s capable of taking a large load. On site drying machine which I didn’t use as there are airers provided. There’s also a sauna and ice baths but I didn’t use these, I believe they have to be booked and not for general site use. There’s a fire pit in a field below the site away from camping areas. I’m already thinking about my next visit!

Overall a decent site but mainly due to the location. The access road is very tight but manageable, the pitches have amazing sea views, the staff are very friendly and the location is great to walk to Pedn Vounder and Porthcurno. Would be 5 stars, but it's pretty expensive (early May £31.50 for non electric or £36.50 for electric with 2 adults and 2 dogs), and the facilities arent as good as other sites in the price bracket.

Happy ADVENTURES Rides

What a wonderful camp site. I was on my way down and did not have a reservation but on arrival I was welcomed by a lovely lady and was greeted with a smile. The weather was nice on the first day but after turn bad so I got a refund. The people was extremely nice and even offered help if I wanted to stay longer but my tent got damaged in the bad weather. Thank you to the team and to Penelope for being so amazing and making me feeling welcome.
