Badgers Cottage is a converted fisherman's cottage with character retained throughout—original granite fireplace, wooden floors, and shuttered windows give it seaside charm despite modern updates. The property sleeps eight across four bedrooms: two doubles, a twin, and a bunk room. There are two bathrooms, one with a bath and one with a shower cubicle. The ground floor has a living room with woodburner and French doors to the garden, a separate dining room, and a kitchen equipped for proper cooking—oven, hob, dishwasher, washing machine. Wi-Fi, bed linen, towels and heating are all included.
Liskeard itself sits inland, but the coast is within a mile and a pub is closer still. The cottage suits families wanting a week or weekend base; it's yours alone from arrival after 4pm to departure before 9am. There's a back garden with furniture, and a public car park nearby. No smoking indoors.

Stayed for a week here in July 2014, with my parents. Cottage very well-equipped. Cream tea on arrival very much appreciated! Perfect location for visiting the many attractions within a 1 hour radius. Helpful courteous owners. Gorgeous gardens - each cottage has an outdoor sitting space. Blissfully quiet rural retreat, regardless of the weather. Don't let the narrow approach lane put you off - it is worth it!

If your idea of a holiday in Cornwall is a clean, quiet well-appointed cottage in a rural environment but with easy access to many of the attractions of this county, then Badgers Sett is for you. A particularly attractive feature of each cottage is the little outside area where, weather permitting, a quiet drink after a days "holidaying" can be enjoyed. As with many locations in Cornwall, the drive into the property is "interesting" but then if you can't deal with single track roads with passing places, Cornwall is not for you!

A really nice place to stay - highly recommended. We have stayed here for about 8 years and have had some wonderful holidays. The accommodation is very well looked after and has a lovely cottage feel to it. The countryside location is peaceful with plenty of space in the grounds for the family to enjoy, to relax, bbq, play games or whatever you like - our kids love it. There is plenty to go out and do in Devon and Cornwall and it is always lovely to come back to the cottage at the end of the day. The owners are so caring and helpful - nothing is too much trouble.

Excellent location. The cottage was very clean and comfortable with a charming back garden. We felt at home the first moment we stepped into the living room. The biggest impression we have is the very warm welcome from Phil and Allison which made the stay that much better.
