The layout of Beachcomber Cottage is built on an unusual reversal: bedrooms and a utility room occupy the ground floor, while the main living spaces sit upstairs. A king bed and a pair of singles downstairs mean flexible sleeping arrangements for four guests. Upstairs, the open-plan living and dining area opens directly onto a balcony where a four-person hot tub sits ready. The kitchen has everything needed to cook properly – electric cooker, dishwasher, microwave, full-size fridge and freezer – so self-catering is straightforward rather than restricted to basics. Wi-Fi, heating, bed linen and towels are all included.
Padstow sits on Cornwall's north coast, a working harbour town with restaurants, galleries and independent shops within walking distance. The surrounding area draws families and activity seekers: beaches at Sennen and Perranporth, the Minack Theatre carved into cliffs at Porthcurno, the coastal train between St Erth and St Ives, and smaller harbours at Newlyn and Mousehole. There is private parking for two cars, a small enclosed garden with patio furniture, and a washing machine for longer stays. The property does not permit smoking. One dog is welcome.
