Bojewyan Cottage sits in open countryside near Pendeen, in the far west of Cornwall where granite hills roll down to the coast. The hamlet is small and quiet, positioned between Land's End and St Ives along the scenic coastal route, within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A stream runs past the front of the property as it flows towards Portheras Cove. From here, the South West Coast Path is within reach, and the local village of Pendeen—with its two pubs, café, shop and post office—is a short level walk away.
The cottage comprises two converted Grade II listed miners' cottages. Downstairs holds a living room with woodburner and smart TV, plus a kitchen/dining room with electric cooker, dishwasher and washing machine. Upstairs are three bedrooms: two doubles and one with twin singles, served by a single bathroom with bath and shower. The property sleeps six and is yours alone. Essentials including heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are covered; initial logs for the woodburner are provided, as are a travel cot and highchair for younger children. One dog stays free. An enclosed garden with sitting-out area overlooks the countryside, and parking for two cars is on site.
Portheras Cove's sandy beach and Boat Cove—where locals fish and crab—are both within walking distance. Pendeen Lighthouse is equally close. The St Just area draws visitors for its mining heritage, dramatic coastline and the beaches that featured in Poldark. No smoking indoors.
