Gylly Cottage is a former fisherman's cottage spread across three floors in Mousehole, a working harbour village on the Cornish coast. The property is a couple's retreat with direct access to the seafront—the beach and harbour are yards away, and there's no need for a car once you've arrived. Four Teas Cafe is nearby, and the local bus connects to Newlyn and Penzance; the train station links to St Ives, Truro and Falmouth.
The lower ground floor holds a fully equipped kitchen and shower room. On the ground floor, a living room with white painted floorboards and a wood-burner provides a focal point for cooler evenings (fuel included October to March). Upstairs, the bedroom contains a kingsize bed and the property's signature feature: a freestanding roll-top bath with shower attachment, positioned to take in the room's dual aspect. Electricity, wifi, bed linen and towels are included. The cottage does not allow children, and smoking is not permitted.
There is no garden or outdoor space attached. A public car park 0.25 miles away charges £5 per day. The setting suits anyone wanting to be within arm's reach of the harbour, the beach and the village's restaurants and shops, without the usual seaside resort crowds.
