🏡 Self-Catering Cottage

Oaken Cottage

Oaken Cottage is a former fisherman's cottage on a quiet lane in Mousehole, just steps from the harbour and sandy beach. The village itself is a warren of narrow streets with sea views opening onto a working harbour, and a handful of pubs and restaurants tucked among gift shops and galleries. Penzance, Newlyn and St Ives are short drives away if you want a change of scenery; from Penzance you can also take a boat to the Isles of Scilly.

The cottage sleeps five across three bedrooms: two doubles and a single. Downstairs, the living room has a smart TV and an electric woodburner. The kitchen/dining room is equipped for cooking – electric cooker, dishwasher, microwave and fridge – with a separate breakfast area. Upstairs, the bathroom has a bath with shower over and a separate toilet. Electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included in your stay.

Beyond the village, the Southwest Coastal Path runs nearby for clifftop walks, and Land's End is within reach for those wanting to see England's westernmost point. The Minack Theatre at Porthcurno, cut into the cliffs above a golden beach, is a short drive away. St Michael's Mount – the tidal island with its castle – makes an easy outing too. There is a pub within a mile, and public car parks in the village (charged). The cottage does not accept smoking or hen or stag parties.
