Newlyn's fishing harbour and Penzance's shops and restaurants are on your doorstep, and St Michael's Mount is visible across the bay. The cottage itself has an unusual layout—bedrooms downstairs, living spaces up—which means the upper floor opens onto a rooftop terrace where you can watch the water and activity in the harbour year-round. On clear days you can see all the way across to the Mount.
All three bedrooms are on the ground floor, each with its own shower room. Two have zip-and-link beds that can be split into singles if needed; the third is a double. Upstairs, the living and dining area has a wood-burning stove and patio doors that lead straight onto the terrace—a genuine suntrap when the weather allows. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking, and there's private parking for one car. Wi-Fi, heating, bed linen and towels are included; one well-behaved pet stays free. The stairs between levels are steep, and the cottage does not permit smoking.
This works well for two or three couples, or a larger family group. The rooftop gives you a genuine reason to linger outdoors, and being steps from the harbour means fresh fish is genuinely close at hand.
