🏡 Self-Catering Cottage

Moonrakers

Moonrakers is a single-storey cottage in Ruan Lanihorne, a quiet village between two river valleys in south Cornwall. The whole property is yours alone, set back from the owner's home with its own parking for two cars. Everything happens on the ground floor: a living space with a 46-inch smart TV and electric fire opens onto a decked terrace with garden furniture and barbecue, where you look out across countryside toward St Rumon's Church. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge and washer-dryer. Bedroom 1 contains a double bed; bedroom 2 has two single beds. There is one bathroom with a bath and shower. Wifi and electricity are included, along with bed linen and towels. A welcome pack is provided.

The village sits in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, roughly 12 miles from Truro. The Ruan River nearby, no longer navigable, has become a magnet for birdwatchers and is lined with wader and waterfowl habitat. The Kings Head pub is within walking distance. A car is essential given the rural setting. Children under 3 are not catered for. There is a fenced pond in the shared garden, and three steps lead up to both the terrace and the cottage entrance. No smoking anywhere on the property.
