Morvoren (Sea Maiden) Cottage

Cornwall

The Lizard Peninsula reaches further south than any other point on the British mainland, and from this cottage in the village square you're positioned to explore it properly. The surrounding landscape is distinctive—rare geology supports unusual plants and wildlife, and the designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty draws walkers year-round. Kynance Cove, Cadgwith Cove and Mullion Harbour are all within easy reach, as is the South West Coastal Path itself.

Morvoren is spread over three floors with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Bedroom 1 has a double bed and ensuite shower; Bedroom 2 offers two single beds that zip together; Bedroom 3 has two further singles. The ground floor contains the living and dining space with television and DVD player, plus a kitchen equipped for proper cooking with oven, hob, dishwasher and microwave. Essentials including electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are provided. There's an enclosed courtyard with garden furniture, and parking is available on the road or in a free public car park 100 yards away.

The village location means a tea room, pub and shops are within walking distance. Nearby attractions include Lizard Lighthouse with its viewing platform, the 13th-century Church Cove at Gunwalloe, the Marconi Centre at Poldhu, and Roskilly's farm where you can watch ice cream being made. The cottage sleeps 6 and welcomes one pet. No smoking inside.
