This converted dairy cottage retains its character through exposed stone and timber beams, arranged across a single storey in an open-plan layout. You get a bedroom with a double bed, a bathroom with bath and shower, and a combined living, dining and kitchen space. Everything needed for self-catering is provided, including bed linen, towels, wifi and heating.
Positioned on a working farm five minutes' drive from Boscastle, the cottage offers direct access to the Valency Valley's walking routes and sits within easy reach of the South West Coastal Path. The North Cornish coast spreads across the landscape nearby—beaches, dramatic cliff formations and fishing villages feature throughout the area. Boscastle itself holds antique shops, a craft centre and pubs; a short walk downhill through the valley reaches the harbour. Off-season visitors should know the property is non-smoking. Parking for one car is on site, and there's a garden with patio seating overlooking the fields.

We had a wonderful stay at the Old Dairy, Mrs Congdon is a total sweetheart and great host. Leaflets and a little mag containing local goings-on was provided which was really helpful, as well as the red folder with some more info about beaches, walks and other really useful info (emergency services/garages, church services, etc). It's situated in a really handy spot, close to Boscastle, crackington haven and a short drive to Bodmin too. We had no issues at all and would love to come back.

We’ve had a lovely stay here. It’s in a great location, close to the picturesque Boscastle and close enough to the main road A39 to all destinations in Cornwall and up into Devon. The cottage is clean and tidy. The owner is very friendly and welcomed us when we arrived. We hope to come back again.

My daughter and I stayed here at the end of August for a short mid-week break. It was booked last minute and very good value for money. The cottage is in a remote location surrounded by fields of sheep and cows and accessed via a very small road off the B road into Boscastle so although you feel in the middle of nowhere Boscastle is literally around the corner. It took me a day or two to get my bearings I'll be honest but once I had pinned my location into google maps it made life a bit simpler for going anywhere. The cottage contained everything we needed for our stay and was very comfortable. The owner greeted us upon arrival to give us a tour of the property and some local info and then left us to our own devices but was just next door if needed.
