Old Mill House

Photo: The Old Mill House

The Cornish coast path and Nanjizal Cove lie within walking distance of Old Mill House, making this a genuine base for exploring the clifftop trails and beaches around Padstow. A bus stop nearby connects you to local transport, including open-top summer services. The property sits close enough to St. Petroc Minor Church to find it on foot.

The house sleeps seven across three bedrooms: a main room with a king and single bed, a double, and a twin with bunks. There is one bathroom. The kitchen is equipped for cooking proper meals rather than heating ready-made food, and a utility room handles laundry. Electricity, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are covered. Two cars can park at the front. One well-behaved dog stays free. Guests who have stayed mention the rooms are genuinely spacious and the breakfasts substantial, cooked fresh each morning with plenty of choice. The owners are known for putting real effort into making visits feel looked-after rather than transactional. A stream runs through the garden, which is kept with care.

Non-smokers only. Check-in is after 16:00 and checkout before 10:00.

What a lovely stay we had here! We were looked after by a wonderful couple, they were just so lovely. We booked a garden view room and it was stunning. The room was very comfortable, the only criticisms are that it got very warm and fan would have been beneficial. I would have also liked vegetarian sausages listed on the breakfast pre-order menu, but the hosts did say they had them in if I would have liked them. I would highly recommend staying here, it was peaceful and relaxing.

We went to this amazing little gem . The food is better than Rick Steins without a doubt. A friendly welcome, excellent staff. Brilliant chefs. A cosy dinning room. Romantic as well. We will return. I can't recommend this highly enough. The homemade bread is of the scale. Fabulous.

If I could rate this a 10* I would. Firstly the service was fantastic, as a family run business it is so clear that they are passionate about making each persons stay special and consistently go the extra mile. The food we were served was impeccable, steak night was well worth the money, the intimate dining experience was so romantic and the hosts couldnt do enough for us. Breakfast was lovely, with lots of choice and Debbie always so helpful and friendly. The rooms were huge, beautifully presented and the beds were so comfortable. Outside was stunning, you can sit by the brook and listen to the birds, watch the stream and it was so peaceful. The bus to Padstow comes directly outside and takes 10 minuites, from Padstow theres many other buses to different places. We will definetly be going back, the staff service was above and beyond, it really made the difference to us. We felt so well looked after and valued. Thankyou so much!

Lovely place to stay. The hosts were perfect and very welcoming. Plenty of tea and coffee supplied in the room and fresh milk on arrival. Stayed for three nights and tried three different breakfasts, could not fault them. One of the best places we have stayed.
