Penrose Barn

Penrose Barn is a single-bedroom conversion in a quiet hamlet near Saint Ervan, suited to couples wanting a private base for exploring Cornwall's North Coast. The whole property is yours alone, with your own entrance and parking space. Inside, an open-plan ground floor combines living and kitchen areas around a gas wood burner, while the mezzanine bedroom above holds a king-size bed. A shower room and ground-floor sofa bed complete the layout. Note that the mezzanine has limited headroom, so taller guests should be aware. The kitchen is equipped for cooking proper meals as well as quick breakfasts, and essentials like electricity, linen and towels are included, plus wifi.

The hamlet sits in rural surroundings with birdsong and open countryside, yet sandy beaches on the North Coast are only a short drive away. It works well as a base for coastal walks, surfing, or day trips to spots like Padstow's harbour and independent shops. After time outdoors, the wood burner makes evenings comfortable and quiet. No smoking is permitted in the property.
