Seaglass

Marazion's crescent of sand curves below the granite bulk of St Michael's Mount, visible from the water at high tide and reachable on foot across the causeway when it drops. The village sits at the western edge of Mounts Bay, where the beach hosts kite surfers, canoeists and paddleboarders in the warmer months, and draws birdwatchers to its marshes year-round. Seaglass occupies the ground and first floors of a period house in the town centre, a hundred yards uphill from the shoreline.

The layout spreads across two levels. Downstairs holds a living room with a 40-inch TV, a separate dining room, and a kitchen with an electric oven, hob and dishwasher opening onto a Juliet balcony with views across the bay. Upstairs are three bedrooms—a kingsize with its own en-suite shower, a double, and two singles—plus a bathroom with both bath and shower. The essentials of heating, electricity, linen and towels are covered, and Wi-Fi is provided throughout. One car can park on site.

The property works for groups of up to six—families, friends or couples. Penzance's main railway station is within reach for exploring the branch lines to St Ives and beyond. Philps Bakery is nearby for provisions. No smoking inside.
