The Shepherds Hut suits couples and solo travellers seeking quiet time in rural Cornwall. You get the whole place to yourself: a single bedroom with a king-size bed, a shower room, and a kitchenette set up for simple cooking. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included. The hut sits among open fields near Merrins Meadow, close enough to drive to sandy bays and coastal villages within minutes, yet far enough out to feel properly remote.
Your private deck overlooks countryside in both directions. The hot tub is yours alone, and there's a firepit for evenings. Inside, the space is compact but thought through: the kitchenette has an induction hob, microwave, fridge and air fryer, so you can cook properly if you want to, or keep things simple. A Smart TV with streaming apps is there if you need it. The shower room has a rainfall showerhead and heated towel rail. No smoking is permitted in the hut.
Days here work around the landscape. Cliff paths, woodland walks and coves are a short drive away; plenty of people come for serious hiking and return to soak in the hot tub as the light goes. Others settle in for reading, slow mornings and quiet suppers. Access is via the garden with three steps up to the decking, so take care if you're driving a low-profile car along the track from the main road. Check in is after 16:00, departure before 10:00.

Beautiful, peaceful place to recharge and relax. The hut is equipped with absolutely everything you need and the welcome box was excellent and very much appreciated. Communication with Charlie was great before our stay and Martin popped by when we arrived to make sure we were happy. The outdoor space is wonderful. The stars on a clear night are absolutely amazing - do not miss that opportunity!

We had a fantastic stay here and would absolutely come back again. The bed was incredibly comfortable, slept really well each night and waking up to such a beautiful view was a real highlight. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed, and we even made use of the BBQ, which was a great bonus. The place itself is lovely, clean, cosy, and thoughtfully set up. The views are stunning, the shower is excellent, and the underfloor heating made everything feel extra cosy in the evenings. It’s also in a really quiet area, which made it perfect for relaxing. I was also pleasantly surprised to find a hair dryer provided, which was a really handy. We were greeted by Martin on arrival, who was very friendly, warm, and welcoming, which set the tone for the whole stay. Overall, a 10/10 experience, will definitely be staying again.

We throughly enjoyed a luxurious and peaceful break in this gorgeous shepherd's hut. The hut was warm and cosy , even at the end of October , and the basket of goodies an extra treat. The walk to the pub in the nearest village was a perfect distance to work up an appetite and there were plenty of other beautiful walks close by. Perfect short break to unwind.

Absolutely amazing little place. Perfect for two for the ultimate 'get away from it all", break. The Shepherd"s Hut is beautifully done out, with the comfiest bed, and calm the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. And all with the most breathtaking views. Well placed to go sught-sewing. On our way to St. Ives while writing this. Would most definitely come back.
