About Thornybank
Cromer, the Norfolk coastal town known for its pier and easy stretches of walking country, is where Thornybank makes its home on Hall Road. The B&B sits among trees with a garden and outdoor seating, giving it a quieter, more relaxed feel than most town-centre stays while still keeping guests within easy reach of the seafront and local attractions.
Rooms are kept simple and comfortable, with en-suite bathrooms, free Wi-Fi, drinks available in room, and family rooms for those travelling with children. Breakfast is included, reception operates around the clock, and free on-site parking makes arriving by car straightforward. A pet-sitting service is also on hand for guests travelling with animals.
Beyond the garden gate, Cromer offers golf, fishing, and walking routes nearby, along with pubs, restaurants and entertainment within easy distance. It suits guests after a low-key, no-fuss base rather than a polished hotel experience, with the emphasis firmly on comfort and convenience over frills.

What guests say
Thornybank was a great place to stay. The rooms were clean and very suitable. Service provided by the owner was above and beyond expectations. Nothing was too much trouble. She could recommend places to visit, available beaches etc. The location was perfect. A very peaceful area but easy to get to several interesting places to visit. From exciting towns with interesting shops. Lots of beaches and lots of opportunity to explore the countryside. We had 2 dogs with us. They had lots of fusses from our hostess and there were lots of places dog friendly.

We stayed in the self-contained Thorny Cottage alongside the B&B. Well maintained & clean with great amenities. Lovely touch of gift basket with essentials such as bread, milk, bottled water & cake to ensure you can get settled in with a drink on arrival. Parking available right outside the cottage. Close enough to Cromer to walk into town but within reasonable driving distance of other local attractions. Lovely quiet location, easy to find walks & rural recreation as well as the brighter lights of the town & pier. The owner is very helpful & available if needed.

What a wonderful place Thornybank is! We were staying just the one night, but would happily have stayed a whole week if we could. Such a warm and welcoming host. The accommodation is spotless with wonderful decor. A lot of thought and effort has gone into establishing the whole place and it really pays off. Tucked away in the woodland, it's great for watching wildlife but also convenient for just popping into Cromer town. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, and so much of it! We will definitely be back for more doggy snuggles with Daphne and Agnes ❤ x

What a wonderful place and such a great Host Ronica is. We stayed 4 nights and loved it. Room comfy and spacious, cleaned daily and tea / coffee and bathroom supplies also refreshed daily. Great choice at breakfast and nothing was too much trouble for Ronica. Would definitely recommend and we hope to stay again some time in the future. Thanks for a great stay Ronica.
