Horseshoe Lake Activity Centre

Visited today during this hot spell. Ideal for those that participate in paddling, kayaking and water activities. There is a pleasant path for a walk around the lake and a small cafe. Plenty of shaded areas for those not liking direct sunlight. I will return soon to make use of the water activities.

A wonderful serene place to be and walk 🚶‍♂️ i felt totally refreshed after doing the loop around the lake. A lovely little cafe on site with yummy food on the menu although I had just eaten so will try it next time. Im already looking forward to returning. Plenty of car parking a great activity centre with lots to offer. I cant wait to paddle board here the Nature and environment is georgous

We had such a lovely experience at Horseshoe Lake Activity Centre for our first time paddleboarding! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by Matilda who was really welcoming and helpful. It was mine and my partner’s first time, and although we had our own boards, we definitely weren’t prepared with the right clothing, but that didn’t matter at all, we still had a great time. Matilda helped make sure our boards were properly pumped and ready to go, which gave us a lot more confidence starting out. Sharon then took the time to show us how to stand and how to hold the paddle properly, she was so kind, patient, and made everything feel easy. She also pointed out the safer areas for us to stay in while we built up our confidence and kept checking in on us, which we really appreciated. Sam was also great, he kept an eye on our belongings and made sure everything was safe while we were out on the water. When I fell in (which was bound to happen 😄), Matilda came straight out to check on me, which just shows how attentive and supportive the team are. The water itself is beautiful and really calming, such a therapeutic experience. Overall, the whole team made us feel comfortable, safe, and supported throughout. We’ll definitely be back, thank you all so much! 💙

Just been there first time as begginer paddle boarder with our own boards. This lake is superb. Where to start… First: price is quite fair as you can spend all day on the water, come out when you need to and go back in. Other lakes like to give you restrictid access…. Second: lovely little caffee/restaurant, breakfast is lovely, can be a little busy at times but still nice Third: they have a free to use pump so its pretty handy Fourth: the lake is a nice size, lovely to paddle, you need to look out for boats at times but very enjoyable. But all in all. She made my day! They have a little shop where you need to sign in. All the staff seems lovely, site looked well organised tidy and clean. You can hire as well! But Sharon was amazing!!!! She helped me to figure out a couple stuff SUP related of course and saved my day. Definetly changed the way how do I get on the board from now on. Answered every single silly question I had and made sure we are good with my partner. We have been on other lakes before and also they were okey the kindness, helpfullness and lovelyness this lady given us was unbeleavible. We are planning to go back soon.
