Allonby Beach is a hundred yards from the front door of Seascape Cottage, making it the obvious draw for a seaside break on the Cumbrian coast. The village itself has a quieter character than many beach resorts, with cobbled streets and period architecture reflecting its smuggling heritage. Maryport and the wider northwest coast offer harbour walks, maritime museums, and access to the Solway Firth's tidal flats and birdwatching opportunities. The Lake District National Park rises inland to the south, reachable by car within an hour.
The cottage itself is a converted 1700s terraced house across three floors. Downstairs holds a living and dining room with a wood-burner, and a kitchen equipped for proper cooking—electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher and the usual appliances. Upstairs, the master bedroom has a kingsize bed and its own television; the top floor offers a twin room with two single beds and large windows overlooking the coast. The bathroom serves both, with a bath and shower. A utility room handles laundry. Electricity, Wi-Fi and bed linen are provided; the property is yours alone to use. There is off-street parking and a small sitting area outside.
The cottage sleeps four and allows one dog, though pets stay downstairs. No smoking inside. Arrive from 4pm, depart by 10am.
