Having travelled over 4,000 miles and stayed at numerous motorhome sites over the last two years, I can honestly say this is the finest campsite I have experienced. The site is exceptionally clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully laid out, offering a refreshing alternative to the increasingly commercialised nature of many modern campsites. What impressed me most was its simplicity, authenticity, and peaceful rural setting, allowing visitors to truly relax and enjoy their surroundings. Although there are no shower facilities, the site more than compensates with the excellent amenities that are provided. Clear and comprehensive information is readily available, and everything has been carefully considered to ensure a comfortable stay. The value for money is outstanding. At under £20 per night without electric hook-up, it represents exceptional value compared with many sites that charge significantly higher rates and then add further costs for extras such as awnings and additional facilities. The campsite is very dog-friendly, with plenty of enjoyable walks directly from the site and easy access to local amenities on foot. The tranquil countryside atmosphere, combined with the convenience of nearby services, creates the perfect balance. A special mention should also go to the gentleman on the ride-on tractor, who was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Small interactions like this can make a real difference to a stay, and his warm manner reflected the genuine hospitality found throughout the site. Every minute of my stay was a pleasure. Peaceful, welcoming, and beautifully unspoilt, this is a site that understands exactly what many motorhome travellers are looking for. I would not hesitate to return and highly recommend it to anyone seeking a genuine, relaxing countryside escape. That extra personal touch helps bring the review to life and highlights the welcoming atmosphere of the site. Keep up the good work of not changing or becoming commercialised. Very customer focused and its about the stay that counts.

We found this Gem of a campsite with just the basics and it was so well kept and clean. The owners are really friendly and helpful and always around checking the site so a very secure place. Stayed for four days and was very relaxing and closed to all roads to main gateway to the lakes

Top location, entrance to Scotland and The Lakes, that's if you're traveling from the South. Quiet, decent sized plots, EHU if you need it, simple facilities but it's a style I like and going back soon on the way to Scotland to do the NC500.
