About OutStanding In Our Field
Perfectly poised between Dartmouth's historic waterfront and the glorious curve of Blackpool Sands, this bijou one-bell-tent hideaway offers an off-grid escape without sacrificing creature comforts. Your fully furnished canvas home comes with a kingsize bed, feather duvet, linens and towels, plus a gas-powered outdoor shower and eco toiletries. There's a shared cabin for charging devices and morning coffee, while outside you'll find everything needed for al fresco living – firepit, picnic table and a full kit of cooking gear.
The hosts live unobtrusively across the field and are happy to help haul kit from the parking area through their young orchard, or simply leave you a trolley if you prefer total seclusion. With Dartmouth's museums and pubs ten minutes one way and that sheltered sandy beach the same distance in the other, you're ideally placed to mix seaside days with harbour-town evenings – returning each night to your peaceful pitch under the Devon sky.

What visitors say
This is a beautiful, well kept campsite situation in small woodland. Pitches are nestled in the trees and foliage. I booked a non electric gravel pitch for my van. There's plenty of space and distance between others. The facilities are super clean and plentiful. Kitchen with sinks, microwave and kettle. Showers, laundry room if needed. Fire pits are available on each pitch which completes the wild camping experience. Have very much enjoyed my stay here. You can hear the main road very slightly but it's not a bother at night. The birds song drowns it out! Highly recommend booking a stay here.

This is a lovely site. We stayed in our campervan on a gravel pitch right on the edge of the beautiful woods. The staff were very friendly and the facilities were spotless. There's a great social area with a TV which is half inside half outside. There's also a well stocked shop. The walks around the woods are beautiful and the local village pub is not to be missed. We'll be back!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A truly fantastic site! I’ve been to Ashbourne Woods plenty of times and will definitely continue to go. When they say "wild camping," they mean you get incredible privacy; the pitches are beautifully spread out within the woodland so you never feel crammed in. You get the best of both worlds here: a real nature experience, plus great amenities. There are decent shower and toilet blocks, a well-stocked shop, and an open barn with seating which is a lifesaver if it rains. Bonus: Fire pits are allowed and provided. You can buy logs and kindling at the shop, but they also let you collect dead wood from the ground and to top it all off, the staff and owners are really lovely. Highly recommend!

We had an absolutely beautiful weekend, it was our second time here and our first time bringing our 3 year old daughter camping. She said it was her favourite memory ever, and that pretty much sums it up
