For the past 12 years, I've been going to The Old Rectory around Easter to play golf at Royal Cinque Ports in Deal and Helga's excellent high standards have not dropped from a welcoming arrival, very comfortable king size bed through to a wonderful breakfast served in a wonderful dining room. The area is very quiet with easy access to many attractions and I look forward to 2 more trips later in the year.

We stayed at The Old Rectory for a night last weekend and absolutely loved it. The room we stayed in was immaculate, comfortable and so peaceful. The location was great and within easy reach of the lovely Deal. Breakfast was first class and the main house is stunning. Our stay was perfect and we cannot wait to return.

We booked a room here as we were attending a vow renewal nearby. What a lovely surprise this place was. We stayed in the Polo room which was across from the main house in a converted barn. So clean and lots of little extras that you wouldn't expect. Tea, a coffee machine and little biscuits were most welcome after our journey. The bathroom was spotless and the shower was great. Helga was so lovely and really helpful. We loved hearing about the history of the place and the area. Then breakfast!! Wow! The dining room itself is absolutely beautiful! with its antiques and memorabilia. The tableware was exquisite! The breakfast itself was beautifully cooked and all local products and absolutely delicious! There was extra too, fruit and cereals etc. Helga has really gone the extra mile to make everything top class. If we ever go to that area again we will certainly stay there. Thank you Helga for making us feel so welcome and for our chats.

We had a wonderful stay at the Old Rectory. Helga was a brilliant host, so friendly and accommodating. We stayed in the Coach House (the converted stable room separate from the main house) and loved it. The bed was incredibly comfy and the room and en suite were spotless. Breakfast the next day was delicious. We would highly recommend staying here.
