Thistle Bank is a contemporary bungalow built for comfort and built to last a stay. Two bedrooms sleep four guests in total: one with a king bed overlooking the garden, the other with twin beds. The single bathroom has a walk-in shower over the bath. Throughout the property, electricity, bed linen and towels are provided, so you arrive to a made-up home ready to use.

The kitchen handles proper cooking, equipped with an induction hob, double oven and dishwasher. Sliding doors from the living room lead to a private terrace where a four-person hot tub sits among the patio furniture. Beyond that, the enclosed garden offers space for children to move freely, with lawns and a wooden swing; two patios give options for sitting out or eating outside. Off-road parking for two cars is on site. The property is non-smoking throughout.

Dyserth itself sits half a mile from a well-known waterfall and within reach of the Denbighshire coast—Prestatyn and Talacre beaches are close by—as well as castles and countryside inland. A Sainsbury's is nearby for supplies. The bungalow works for families needing space and guests seeking a quiet base from which to explore North Wales.

Absolutely fantastic stay in a superb location! The guest house was perfect for couples or families — spotlessly clean, warm, and incredibly homely. The bedrooms and bathrooms were immaculate, and everything felt so well cared for. We felt completely comfortable throughout our stay and would 100% recommend this guest house. Can’t wait to return very soon!

We stayed at The Thistle Bank Guest House last week with our three children and it was a really lovely experience. Cindy and John were such wonderful hosts – so warm, welcoming and helpful. Our room was clean and very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. Cindy and John went out of their way to make us feel at home and also gave us lots of useful information on where to visit during our stay. We will definitely be staying here again, and I would highly recommend The Thistle Bank Guest House to anyone looking for a friendly and comfortable place to stay.

I enjoyed my recent stay here. Cindy and John are lovely hosts and I felt really welcome. My room was spacious, clean and comfortable, with a large ensuite, and the breakfast was excellent. The location is quiet and very convenient, with the bus station and town centre only a few minutes walk away.

I stayed at Thistle Bank Guest House for a week earlier this year, during a trip home to visit family and friends. John and Cindy were warm, welcoming hosts, and the guesthouse was clean and comfortable. I had a fantastic stay. The included breakfast was excellent, delicious and flexible, with options like lactose-free milk, eggs cooked to order, a variety of cereals, plus tea, coffee, and juice. The Full English was a highlight and really set me up for the day. The location is ideal, right on the edge of Ashbourne town centre, with the Derbyshire Dales on its doorstep. I’d definitely stay there again. Recommended.
