🏡 Self-Catering Cottage

Waen Meadow Cottage

Denbighshire

Three miles from St Asaph, this stone cottage dates to the 1600s and sits within reach of North Wales's castles, coast and mountains. Snowdon, Conwy, Betws-y-Coed and Chester are all manageable day trips. The building itself carries its age visibly—beamed ceilings, period features—without feeling uncomfortable to live in for a week.

Ground floor spaces centre on a dining area and kitchen equipped with a range cooker, plus a utility room that doubles the cooking and laundry options. The lounge has a log burner for evenings in, and a downstairs wet room saves trips upstairs. Bedrooms split as a king, a double and a twin (with an extra bed available); the family bathroom sits at the top of the stairs. The garden opens to countryside quiet, and a sauna sits ready after walks or sightseeing days. Wifi and parking are on site. Bed linen and towels are provided, and electricity is included in the rate. The cottage is non-smoking.

The surrounding landscape offers Rhuddlan, Flint, Gwrych, Caernarfon and Beaumaris castles, beach access, hill paths, and small towns worth a wander. Families, groups of friends, and couples after rural base for exploring will find it works well.
