The Old School House

Couples and small families will find The Old School House suits them well. This converted Victorian school retains Gothic features and period charm throughout. You have the place to yourselves, with two bedrooms—one double with ensuite shower, one with twin singles—plus a second bathroom. The ground floor spreads across a living room with woodburner and a kitchen/dining space equipped for proper cooking: electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher and microwave all there. One dog or cat stays free of charge.

The heating and hot water are sorted, bed linen and towels provided, and wifi connects you to the outside world. There's private parking for two cars on site and a garden with seating area, though note there are three steps down to access it. A pub sits within a mile's walk. Tideswell itself has a small supermarket, butchers and fish and chip shop. The wider Peak District opens up from here—walking, cycling and climbing country, with villages and market towns nearby. No smoking inside the property.
