About Aller Park Farm
Tucked into Dartmoor's moorland folds yet just a fifteen-minute stroll from Chagford's market-town buzz, Aller Park Farm strikes a lovely balance between wild escape and everyday convenience. The setup is delightfully unfussy—non-electric grass pitches, compost loos, washing-up facilities and picnic tables—but the real draw is the space and freedom: kids can roam, dogs are welcome year-round, and campfires crackle into the evening around the firepit area. Groups and solo adventurers alike find their groove here.
Stock up at Chagford's farm shop and deli before settling in for an alfresco feast; barbecues are encouraged and the vibe stays refreshingly laidback. From your pitch, Dartmoor's walking trails, cycling routes and wildlife-rich valleys fan out in every direction, while the moorland backdrop delivers that sweeping, big-sky scenery campers crave. Simple, peaceful and spectacularly placed.

Spent a short Easter Break here. The tents are perfect! Clean and very well appointed. It’s situated on a lovely and well run family dairy farm. The hosts are very friendly and I highly recommend the farm tour. The tents are in a lovely quiet location and going to sleep with the warm log stock crackling away, listening to the owls and cows under a very clear starry sky is just the perfect get away. At no point did the kids miss their “devices” but instead read lots of book whilst I sampled a variety of local ciders from tie honesty shop on site. Lots to do in the area with the coast only being 30mins away and a fab pub within easy walking distance from the farm. We did lots of waking, fishing and fossil hunting!! Highly recommend to escape the modern world.

We spent Easter weekend at Aller Farm Glamping and had the most fantastic time. Right from the start we had a great welcome from Emma who showed us around and our accommodation. The tents are fantastic, loads of room for our family with comfy beds, a fully equipped kitchen and hot water with a great shower. Our kids especially loved the cupboard bed. The kids loved the farm tour by Nigel, where they helped milk the cows and asked loads of questions. This was followed by a great night cooking pizzas in the pizza oven. Everything about the location was great, Emma and Nigel are brilliant hosts. We would recommend a visit for any family who wants a relaxing family outdoor holiday.

Fantastic stay at Aller farm. The Safari tents are really large and well looked after. There’s everything you need and comfortable beds. Don’t miss Nigel & Emma’s tour of their dairy farm. Really interesting for all the family and a real privilege to see the farm at work. It’s a beautiful private spot. A very short walk from a fantastic village pub - The Kings Rms which serves delicious food.

Where do I start? Wow! We stayed an extra night! We’ve just returned home from a long weekend at Aller Farm, with our 5 & 13 year old. Our stay exceeded all expectations, we were welcomed by Emma when we arrived & instantly it felt like home. The tent was immaculate, had everything you could possibly require & was also super comfortable! We stayed in the Beech tent which was in its own field, beautiful views, plenty of outdoor space, a sandpit, ride on tractor & swing ball (all a pleasant surprise!) Our 5 year old is a little bit of a cattle enthusiast and the farm tour(s) did not disappoint. Nigel was brilliant, he explained everything, answered all our questions and went out of his way to ensure that our youngest saw everything - especially Joules, the Aberdeen Angus bull! Emma’s pizzas were delicious, cooked to perfection. I would definitely recommend. Our hens were a fantastic little touch & the kids even got some special eggs left in the coop on Easter Sunday 😉🐰 We drove 200 miles to stay at Aller Farm & would do it again without a doubt. We honestly had the best holiday ever, so many laughs, so much enjoyment and it was an absolute delight to escape the daily chaos of life & spend quality time together outdoors. We hope to see you all again in the future. Thank you, genuinely, for such an amazing time! It meant the world to us! x
