About Wild About Campers
Wild About Campers is a peaceful retreat amid spectacular hiking country in the Blackdown Hills National Landscape, and 25 minutes' drive from cliff-top treks along the South West Coast Path. The camping paddock borders the River Otter – look out for resident beavers, otters and kingfishers – so you can fall asleep lulled by the burble of water and wake to birdsong. With a woodfired sauna, cold plunge and field kitchen, this is a splendid spot for proper TLC and alfresco dinners.
The Jurassic Coast at Lyme Regis is within 25 minutes, while Exeter lies 35 minutes away. Both Exmoor and Dartmoor are under an hour's drive, though with such tranquil surroundings you may not want to stray far. A popular family-run pub is five minutes' stroll from the site, and the pretty neighbouring town of Honiton offers antique shops, tearooms and pubs.

What visitors say
Fantastic small camp site for 5 pitches. Right next to the river where otters and beavers live. Birds galore including kingfishers, woodpeckers, gold crests etc. So quiet and peaceful and few insects. Great facilities including hot shower, toilets, kitchen, sauna and fire pits! Plenty of shade also with a nice pub up the road. Enjoyable stay!

I recently stayed in Hettie for 3 days and had such a cosy and relaxing stay. Tam and Jonny are so warm and welcoming and you have everything you need for a back to nature getaway. The setting is stunning, a haven for wildlife and a perfect, tranquil break. I'll definitely be back

Jonny and Tam couldn't have been more friendly and helpful if they tried. The site was amazing in the sun. Facilities were great with the whole site tidy and well organised. Thank you for a great stay.

My partner booked for us to stay here for two nights as a surprise, and we had the most amazing time. Our hosts were the kindest, most friendly people who were very accommodating with the last minute booking and our late arrival and took the time to show us around the site and the facilities with such care, and made sure we were okay throughout our stay. We stayed in Hettie (the shepherds hut) which was absolutely perfect and so cosy, everything has been created with such attention to detail and the campsite is really special. There is a separate kitchen with everything you need and separate showers and toilets on site, and our cabin included a lovely wood burning stove, deck and fire pit outside. There is a beautiful stream running alongside where you can sit and eat breakfast and look out for beavers and otters. Thank you both very much, we will be recommending you and will hopefully be back!
