About Farway Countryside Park

Out in search of a Devon getaway a short distance from a striking coastline? Farway Countryside Park sits in peaceful seclusion above the Southleigh Valley, roughly 15 minutes' drive from the Jurassic Coast's dramatic limestone cliffs and fossil-rich beaches. This family-run site spreads across spacious grass pitches with rare-breed animals to meet and walking trails threading into the surrounding countryside. Beer's white-cliff-fringed beach and Lyme Regis's historic Cobb are both within easy reach, making this an excellent base for exploring East Devon's finest scenery.

Facilities are straightforward—showers, toilets, washing-up area—but the real draw is the freedom: campfires are allowed, dogs are welcome year-round, and the atmosphere leans towards wild camping simplicity rather than manicured leisure park. Colyton, five minutes' drive away, provides shops for gathering supplies. It's a relaxed, scenic spot that trades bells and whistles for genuine tranquillity and valley views.

Large pitches available with electric hook-up. We stayed for a week sat to sat but got some unknown reason, with the site being practically empty, a new party was pitched next to ours with and empty field. The showers are okay, I think their were 7 in total at the block near our pitch but 3 of them were screwed shut (they were not opened when the site became busy later in the week) the pressure on the shower was okay, but the toilet was squeezed in so when sat down your knees were practically on your chin.

We arrived at this glorious location to our pre booked lodge......wow fabulous views, lovely lodge/cabin. Well equipped and very clean and with a super hot tub and 🔥 pit. With this view you could just sit all day and soak it up.. Highly recommend 👍

Ok campsite, more suited to large party groups as it was very noisy during our stay (weekend). Issues with plumbing as toilets and showers became dirty and blocked up with more people arriving on the site.

Another fantastic trip away, amazing and child/ autism friendly place. We love the fact that all the staff (the family )from last year was there again. Must say the shower block is absolutely refreshing and clean as well as the toilets too. It's a proper chill place and it's lovely to see it grow from last year.
