About Girt Down Farm
Perched high above the North Devon coast with views that stretch to Wales on clear days, Girt Down Farm occupies genuinely dramatic terrain. The South West Coast Path runs right through the site, making this a walker's dream base, while Combe Martin's pubs and shops sit just a mile downhill. You'll share the working farm with Exmoor sheep, cattle, and the farmer's sheepdog Willow—otherwise, peace reigns.
An old railway carriage serves as a covered hangout spot for soaking up those vistas when the weather turns. Barbecues are encouraged (off the ground), and you're welcome to pick seasonal salad leaves from the farm's plot to accompany whatever you're grilling. The hosts fire up their wood-fired pizza oven for communal cook-up nights, and full English breakfasts can be ordered the evening before for collection at the farmhouse come morning.
Facilities cover the basics—showers, loos, washing-up area, plus parent-and-baby facilities. It's a no-frills, back-to-nature spot that trades polish for position and proves wonderfully popular for it.

Had an amazing night here, partner booked it last minute for us and my daughter, location was amazing , each bell tent has its own little grass area with a bench , bbq and fire pit. The host was amazing and nothing was to much trouble. She meet us on arrival and she took all our cases and sleeping bags ect down to the bell tent in her trailer on her tractor , my daughter loved it. Was very helpful about the local area are directions to the shops ect. The toilet, shower area and sinks was very clean, and maintained by the host daily. Amazing stay and will definitely be back again.

Wonderful weekend stay with the added bonus of looking out for the meteor shower. Lovely location and love the 'back to basics' relaxed feel where it's nice to escape the modern world. Had a nightmare in terms of our car breaking down whilst visiting the beach in Woolacombe and our hosts couldn't have been more genuinely helpful if they tried. From offering us a lift back to camp to firewood to keep us warm and a charging lead to enable us to charge our phones after we had left ours behind. Literally cannot thank them enough in making our first year anniversary the fabulous getaway that it was. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to all at Giddy Farm...we will be back and will be bringing Dexter with us too. Love from Kaye, Gary and of course Dexy...because we know he'll love it too on our next visit x
