owner seemed to always be rushed off her feet however it was a nice enough hotel, room was clean although the wall near the window needed a bit of attention. didnt have any food but the bar and bar area was very nice, real ale was on offer and the bar looked very inviting. my room overlooked the main road but wasnt noisy having windows open in the summer may be different, overall I had a nice stay and would try the food next time as it did look good.

Please don't pass this place by. Yes the decor is in a little need of TLC, BUT the food and staff are too notch. We attended as a group of 4 for a Saturday Lunch. The menu changes so it isn't on line. There was everything from burgers, lamb shank, pasta and curry. I opted for curry with a side order of chips. The chips were hot, crispy and really good! The curry had a nice mild spice to it, with more chicken than you get at the local Curry House these days. My partners burger looked really good as well. Food was lovely! Cannot fault it. Portion sizes were really good. This is proper good pub grub! Service - The staff(a lady on her own) were really attentive and working really hard to help customers with a smile on her face. 👏 If you want a proper pub, with decent grub, this is a good stop.

We had a wonderful stay! Our landlady was incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our visit. The room was spotless, comfortable, and exactly as described. The hotel felt peaceful and well cared for — and the night was truly unforgettable. I danced like never before and had such a great time. Her kindness and hospitality made everything even better. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it! Thank you very much ❤️

We had a stop here on our way to the south and were very grateful for the welcoming and cozy atmosphere. The Sunday roast with meat as well as the vegetarian option were perfect and very delicious. Even our kids ate the whole plate 👌 we sure come back one day 🙏🏻
