Pleasant Spot Lodge
Torridge
Pleasant Spot Lodge is a detached property where everything happens on one floor. The moment you enter, the living space opens up—a combined room with a woodburner, dining area and kitchen all flowing together, with a small decked terrace beyond. Two bedrooms sit on the same level: one with a double bed, the other with two singles. There are two bathrooms, one with a bath and shower, the second a shower room, both recently refitted. Bed linen, towels and electricity are included, along with initial logs for the woodburner.
The 114-acre grounds hold woodland and open countryside; there's a fenced lake on the property and parking for two cars on site. One dog stays free. The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking—electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave and fridge-freezer. The woodburner means you can warm the place through without extra heating costs. Non-smokers only.
Hartland Forest is close enough for walks from the doorstep. The North Devon coast is within reach: Clovelly lies 4 miles away, while Westward Ho!, Saunton Sands, Woolacombe and Croyde Bay are all accessible for beaches and water sports. Bideford offers market-town amenities and boat trips to Lundy, and the Tarka Trail runs nearby for cycling and walking.
