About Askr Grange
Tucked down quiet country lanes on a family-run farm, Askr Grange offers spectacular views across Dorset countryside and genuine rural peace – with grazing sheep for company and hardly another soul for miles. Yet this remote feel doesn't mean isolation: West Bay and the Jurassic Coast are just 15 minutes' drive for beach days and dramatic coastal walks, and the Pineapple Estate shop (three minutes by car) stocks basics if you run short of barbecue supplies. The farm itself sells its own reared meat.
Luke, whose family has farmed here for three generations, is on hand for sightseeing tips and anything else you might need. Several pubs serving everything from pizza to award-winning fine dining lie within easy reach when you'd rather not cook. With dog-friendly pitches, Duke of Edinburgh groups welcome, and that rare combination of total tranquillity and coastal proximity, it's a quietly special spot in West Dorset.

Highly recommend this beautiful, relaxing and great value for money Shepherds Hut (Primrose) and farm setting for accommodation. Everything you need is there, double bed is very comfortable, hot tub was a great bonus, check in and out was easy, communication prior was fast and helpful and the book created to offer recommendations for day trips, walks and food etc. as well as manuals for appliances was clear and handy! We will be returning with our dog once again, thank you Askr Grange!

A great location for a dog friendly,quiet getaway...... With an outdoor jacuzzi for four!! The working farm hosts are helpful but not intrusive. The open communal/kitchen area is large enough to very easily host 4-6 adults, with 3 comfortable bedrooms. Nicely appointed. Highly recommended.

Just returned from a stay at The Drover, peaceful quiet location set on a farm. The lodge was very clean and modern, it was equipped with everything you could possibly need to cook with. Super comfy bed and spacious shower, hot tub and fire are both great features especially in the evening. We would definitely recommend and return!

My wife and I stayed at the Shepherd's Hut (The Acorn) and absolutely loved our experience. It's quite secluded on the farm and the views are amazing. Sammy, our host, is very responsive and helpful. I would recommend you ask them to start the hit tub on the first evening before you start (I believe that's a paid service) as it will be worth it and save you time and hassle (especially if it's your first time using a wood burner). It's a great place to stay and relax in the idyllic countryside. The roads to get there are single track country roads so drive carefully. West bay, Bridport is 10 mins away. Lulworth is about 30-45mim drive away too. If you fancy spending a day at one of the Jurassic Coast's amazing beaches.
