Curlew Cottage

The coastline here delivers immediately: Curlew Cottage sits on a working farm just a short walk from beach and sea. Gatehouse of Fleet is a drive away if you want a town, but the immediate landscape offers its own pull—sandy bays, forest trails, and enough outdoor activity to fill a week. Kirkcudbright, known for its artists and harbour, is nearby; so are the Laggan Outdoor Activity Centre (home to one of Europe's longest zip wires), Cardoness Castle, and the Mill on the Fleet. Cream o'Galloway provides a family day out. Cyclists will find themselves within reach of five of the 7Stanes mountain bike trails, and Galloway Forest Park is close by.

The cottage sleeps six across three bedrooms: a double, a zip-and-link twin, and two further singles. Two bathrooms serve the property—one ensuite with a bath, one shower room on the ground floor. The ground floor is open plan, with a sitting area, dining space, and kitchen equipped for proper cooking (electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave). Upstairs, a galleried sitting room without a TV provides a quieter space. An enclosed garden with patio and BBQ faces the property, and you can park two cars on site. One dog is welcome. Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included, and a welcome pack arrives with you. Check-in is after 15:00; check-out before 10:00. The cottage is non-smoking throughout.
