Townhead Mill

Townhead Mill began life as a functioning mill in the 1700s. The original mill lade still flows through the garden, a constant reminder of the building's working past. The conversion has preserved the character of the structure while adding three bedrooms, three bathrooms, and space for six people, all within a detached property you have to yourself.

The ground floor holds a living room with patio doors opening onto a balcony, a dining room, and a kitchen equipped for proper cooking. One double bedroom with ensuite is also here. Downstairs, accessible via an external staircase, a games room (complete with table tennis), utility room, another double bedroom, and the third bedroom with its own bathroom complete the layout. Each bedroom has its own shower or bath. Parking for three cars sits on site, and there is a lawned garden with seating areas and a bike store. Wi-Fi, bed linen, towels and heating are included.

The stream that passes through the garden is unfenced, which matters if you are bringing young children. One dog is welcome. Thornhill village lies a few miles away. The surrounding Dumfries and Galloway countryside offers walking and cycling from the doorstep.
