What visitors say
We've visited Bowfield farm on a few occasions and despite being a fairly basic campsite on a busy working farm we have had some good visits. But nothing, absolutely nothing could prepare us for the experience we had on our last visit. Long story short, we ended up stuck in the mud whilst trying to pitch on the hard standing pitches, we had no idea that the only way this could be done was to unhitch and use a motor mover as the field was basically flooded. The owners simply walked away and left us, only to return 2 hours later to attempt to charge us £500 for help. Recovery got us out and we left. The owners of this campsite have absolutely no business being in the hospitality trade.

Our first stay at Bowfield Farm. Such a fantastic spot with views that fill the soul. Clean facilities. Lovely hot showers with good pressure. Small quiet site so ideal for our young family. Would love to come back.

A very clean and tidy site. Good views. Easy access to the site from the main road. As a working farm there are plenty of animals around. The owners are lovely. We had car troubles and had to extend by a few days which we didn't mind doing with surroundings like these. They went out of their way and helped with a mechanic also a very nice guy who didn't rip us off. The kids loved it. We certainly intend to return and highly recommend them.

5 van CS. Vast panoramic views but open to the wind. Very good pitches. Don't use the toilet facilities so can't comment, but when shown round by owners, they seemed fine. You're high up here so the water flow isn't the fastest; patience required. Very highly recommended.
