A few miles inland from the Jurassic Coast, it offers a genuine Devon base without the crowds of seaside resorts.

This 16th-century thatched cottage occupies its own private corner down a country lane with no through traffic, though the owner lives next door. The house blends period features—beams, inglenook fireplace, a historic bread oven—with contemporary comforts. Three bedrooms each have their own shower room: a super king, a standard king, and a room with two singles. Downstairs has a living room with woodburner (initial fuel provided), a kitchen equipped for proper cooking, and a separate utility room. Underfloor heating runs throughout, keeping the old building comfortable year-round. One dog can stay free and has access to an enclosed garden with furniture and a barbecue.
