The Grooms Quarters at Grimblethorpe Hall is a converted outbuilding on a country estate near Louth. Built to serve the hall's working landscape, it now offers a single ground-floor bedroom with an ensuite, plus a living room, dining room and kitchen. The double bed is 4ft 6in; there's a cubicle shower and heated towel rail. A welcome pack is provided, and essentials including electricity, bed linen and towels are covered.
The property accommodates two guests and sits on the estate grounds, where rolling fields and public footpaths make for straightforward walking. A garden with seating faces out towards the countryside. You have private parking for two cars. One dog travels free. The grounds contain an unfenced lake and there are two steps both at the entrance and into the garden, which are worth noting if access is a consideration. No smoking inside.
Louth is a modest market town; Lincoln's cathedral, castle and independent shops lie within a reasonable drive. The Lincolnshire Wolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty borders the county, offering gentle hills and walking routes. Closer by, country pubs, village tearooms and farmers' markets reflect the rural character of the area.

Absolutely brilliant week we've had here, we stayed in anvil cottage and couldn't have asked for more. The cottage itself is bigger than expected and has everything you need. It's cosy and warm with plenty of space for a family to stay. The kitchen has everything you need and also has a shower room in addition to the bathroom. Andy was great and showed us around when we arrived and gave us plenty of places to visit in the local area that were dog friendly. Weve had a brilliant week and the dogs have been absolutely made up with all the outside spaces and walks, would definitely recommend to anyone looking to stay in Lincolnshire

These cottages are picturesque and welcoming, on a beautiful farm in the Lincolnshire Wolds. My husband and I stayed for the weekend with our two dogs and were made to feel at home. We stayed in the Anvil Cottage. It was beautiful, spacious, and had a fully stocked kitchen for cooking food that we bought at the market in Louth earlier in the day. There is also an easy to follow path around the farm with good views. We hope to come again!

Enjoyed a really wonderful weekend at the Shepherd's Cottage. Very comfortable and the owners have provided everything you might need. Best of both worlds for location: quiet and peaceful retreat, but shops and restaurants within a few minutes by car. Beautiful scenery, wished we could have stayed longer!

Grimblethorpe Hall Country Cottages are lovely. I took my two boys and stayed in the Anvil Cottage and that was very spacious and very well equipped with plenty of dvds and books. The owners provided us with some nice local treats to get us started and the kitchen was well stocked with plenty of equipment for entertaining and enjoying the week. The Cottage reminded me of a Swiss chalet and felt like a home from home. The rooms are very spacious and very clean and tidy and the beds were very comfy. We definitely slept well! ☺️ The Grimblethorpe Farm is a lovely place for young kids. You can visit the bulls, the pigs are very friendly and it's a really safe pretty space for the children to run around. It's certainly one of the best cottages we've stayed in. The surroundings are beautiful with fantastic walking, staight from your door and they sell the most delicious meats and sausages great for a hearty breakfast, lunch or dinner. ☺️ Thank you to the Nicola, Andy and all the team. Can't wait for our next visit. My kids and I would highly recommend it! ☺️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
