Alford sits within the rolling landscape of the Lincolnshire Wolds, with good walking and cycling routes starting from the doorstep. The sandy beaches of Skegness are to the east, while the market towns of Louth and Horncastle are inland; Lincoln, with its castle and cathedral, is further afield. Lizzie's Cottage occupies its own space in this setting, offering three bedrooms and two bathrooms across a single property.
The ground floor holds an open-plan living, dining and kitchen area with French doors onto the garden. The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking—oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher—and there's a utility room with washing machine and freezer. Upstairs, bedroom three has a kingsize bed; downstairs, bedroom one is also kingsize, while bedroom two has two single beds that zip together to form a kingsize if needed. One bathroom has a bath with shower attachment; the other is a walk-in shower room. Both have heated towel rails.
Outside, a private terrace with glass balustrade overlooks the valley, and a six-person hot tub sits in the back garden alongside a summerhouse and seating areas. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included. The property sleeps six and is yours alone; smoking is not permitted.

We recently stayed at Lizzie’s Cottage for a very special family celebration — my 60th birthday, my son’s birthday, and my grandson’s birthday — and it could not have been more perfect. From the moment we arrived, we were amazed by how beautiful the cottage was. It felt warm, airy, bright, and welcoming straight away. We were also greeted with a lovely basket of gifts and drinks, which was such a thoughtful touch and made us feel instantly at home. The cottage had absolutely everything you could possibly need for a stay. The kitchen was perfect and fully equipped with every utensil imaginable, including baking tools and barbecue equipment. It was so well thought out. Having the washing machine and dryer available was also incredibly helpful for a family stay. Every detail had clearly been considered. There were lots of books and puzzles to enjoy, making the cottage feel cosy, relaxing, and truly like a home away from home. The views were absolutely stunning and made our stay even more special. This was such a memorable break for all of us, and we are so grateful for the care and thought that has gone into Lizzie’s Cottage. We would absolutely love to return and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, comfortable, and beautifully equipped place to stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Lizzie’s Cottage. It was beautifully peaceful with no noise and no light pollution at all – perfect for switching off and relaxing. The hot tub was incredibly relaxing and ideal for star gazing, in the evenings. It’s also ideally located, just a short drive to the coast. The owner’s hospitality was fantastic and made us feel very welcome from start to finish. Highly recommend and would definitely return.
