Bridge Farm Holiday Cottages - The Stable
East Riding of Yorkshire
Photo: Google Maps
The Driffield Canal runs alongside Bridge Farm, making this converted stable a natural base for anyone with a canoe or small boat—there's a jetty for launching. Beyond the water, golf courses dot the surrounding countryside, and riding stables are within reasonable reach. The hamlet of Brigham itself is quiet, but the location puts you within striking distance of what the East Riding has to offer.
The Stable is a single-bedroom, all-ground-floor property sleeping two. You get a living space with woodburner and Freeview TV, a separate kitchen with gas cooker and dishwasher, and a bedroom with a double bed (4ft 6in). The bathroom has a spa bath with shower overhead. Underfloor heating runs throughout, and essentials like electricity, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are included.
Outside, an enclosed garden with patio and barbecue is yours alone. Beyond that lie the shared grounds: an acre of landscaped space where children can collect eggs and feed the farm animals—sheep, ponies, goats, guinea pigs—or use the sand pit and play equipment. An external games room with snooker and pool tables is available to all guests on the farm. There is a fenced pond in the garden. The property suits families with young children, though note there is no smoking throughout.
