About Greengrass Park

Greengrass Park offers a peaceful retreat in the East Yorkshire countryside, with static holiday homes and touring pitches spread across serene grounds centred on a 15-acre private fishing lake. The site enforces noise and safety policies to keep things tranquil, making it ideal for anglers seeking a quiet cast (fishing available for an additional fee - arrange at reception) or families wanting a calm base. On-site facilities run to a restaurant and pizzeria, plus a lakeside pub with an open-air terrace serving ales and wines.

Beyond the gates, Hornsea's beaches lie 20 minutes' drive away, Bridlington half an hour, and Hull's museums and aquarium 30 minutes. Nearby Brandesburton and Leven (around three miles) cover essentials with supermarkets, a butcher, deli, Chinese restaurant and an award-winning chippy. Some visitors note the facilities can feel a little tired in places, but the setting and fishing access more than compensate for those seeking a laid-back countryside stay.

I went to see a static which was really nice, the site is clean and tidy with toilets showers and laundry room. Owners are nice friendly and helpful, it's a dog friendly site and I met lots of dogs whilst there. Lake is lovely there too. Worth a visit although open you can not live there permanently.

After discussing possible caravan purchase with this company over several weeks, i arrived with my 2 year old daughter after driving 2 hours to be told they only had one run down caravan available. Our other option was to renovate a pitch paying the sewage, water and electricity fees only £13k and we would be allowed to put our caravan on there. Absolutely laughable. What a waste of our time!

Booked here for 1 night over the Easter break. £25 for grass pitch with Electric. When we arrived reception took our details and said our pitch was back out onto the main road and on site two. There was space for 3 and we took the last spot. The ground wasn’t very level and had a tree stump in the middle of it, but did manage to park our camper in the best spot on our pitch. Just in front of us were the toilets, these could have done with a spruce up if I’m honest. I didn’t see any shower blocks but when we called in the pub which is on site I did notice some showers in the toilets. There are no bins on site two so it was a ride back to reception to leave our rubbish. However there is a walkway by the lakeside to get from site two to site one if you prefer. The site was fine for us for 1 night. *****thank you for your reply to my review. Yes I’m sure this is right that customers site their vans on a 1st come 1st served basis and we were the last to arrive and the rest of the space was taken hence we had the tree stump next to some brown wooden shed area. If the stump was removed this would create more space to choose where to camp*****

Lovely site. Not really built for large tourers & pick ups tho. Really really nice lake. Pub was excellent nice staff on site and facilities were clean. Not really ideal for decent dog walks though. Horrible roads nearby and cobbles all over (this would suit many though I'm sure) Only reason it's 4/5 is that when arriving if you go to the main entrance you've got to go round a realky small roundabout to get to the touring facilities. Not great with a long caravan and long car.
