Fir Tree Lodge
East Riding of Yorkshire
Between Bridlington and Sewerby, this log cabin sits on the edge of a links golf course where the coast meets wooded countryside. A 15-minute walk brings you to the beach; Flamborough, Bempton, Filey and Scarborough are all within reach, while inland the Wolds offer a different kind of exploring. The surrounding grounds attract deer and other wildlife, and your own decking provides a quiet spot to watch them.
Everything is on the ground floor. The open-plan living space combines kitchen, dining and sitting areas, with a smart TV and electric fire. The master bedroom has a double bed and an ensuite with a freestanding bath; the second bedroom contains two single beds and an ensuite with a walk-in shower. There is also a separate toilet and utility room with a washing machine. Essentials like electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are all included. One dog stays free of charge.
The golf club's facilities – an 18-hole course, driving range and gym – are available for a fee. The clubhouse serves meals and has a terrace overlooking the sea. Parking for two cars is on site. No smoking indoors.
