Buckton sits in open countryside near the Yorkshire coast, close enough to Bempton Cliffs RSPB Nature Reserve that you can walk there or drive in five minutes. The reserve is home to over 250,000 seabirds including puffins, gannets and guillemots, making it a destination for anyone with binoculars and patience. Beyond the cliffs lie the Yorkshire Wolds, Dalby Forest and the North York Moors—all within reach for day trips.
Puffin Cottage is a converted barn sleeping two in a king bedroom with an en-suite shower. Downstairs is an open-plan living space with a kitchen equipped to cook proper meals, dining area and a sitting room with a TV. Exposed oak beams and chalk stone walls give the conversion character. Essentials including heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are provided, and one well-behaved pet stays free. There is private parking for two cars on site.
Each cottage in the converted farmyard has its own patio opening onto shared gardens where you'll find a summerhouse, games and a BBQ. The setting is quiet but not isolated—the Yorkshire Wolds Cycle Route starts nearby, and the area suits visitors wanting to explore on foot or by bike as much as those planning to stay put and watch the birds.

A perfect relaxing break in a beautiful part of the world. The cottage is absolutely perfect for our needs and ticks all the boxes for the two of us, plus our cockapoo Beau (who didn't want to leave lol). Upon arrival it soon became apparent that it's a little gem, so much so that we have already booked again for next year. Hats of to the owners, who provide such an amazing home from home.

A return visit to Manor Farm cottages and on this occasion we stayed in Puffin Cottage which is lovely cosy accommodation.. All areas of the cottage were spotlessly clean. Lovely comfortable large bedroom. The cottages are in an area which is great to explore this part of the coastline and also the Yorkshire moors. Paul & Kerry are great hosts and I have no hesitation in recommending the accommodation and we certainly expect to return in 2024. Glenn & Eileen Fowler Borrowash, Derby

Absolute gem. Perfect place to stay. Very comfortable. Would be incredibly hard pushed to find somewhere to match the high standard of The Roost. Well designed. Very clean. Wonderful garden. Kerry and Paul have thought of everything. Thoroughly enjoyed our weeks stay so much so have booked twice for next year. Highly recommend.

The b&b is excellent, 4 bedrooms all with ensuites. Slept 9 adults and 3 toddlers easily. Close to Filey, Bridlington, and Flamborough, would certainly visit again and would highly recommend!
