What visitors say
Beautiful reserve. Incredible seeing the gannets up close. I got there before the visitor centre opened and had a walk before heading back for a tea. The shop and cafe are really well stocked, friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommend a visit! I drove over from Manchester and it was so worth it. The staff and volunteers are wonderful and really make the place special. Really great signage, found it really helpful and useful, although I wouldn't say no to more signs and info!! It did get really busy after 10am, the carpark was full and people were parking in the overflow, glad I got there early

Bempton Cliffs is an absolutely fantastic place to visit! The walk is beautiful, with plenty to see and enjoy along the way. The views from the viewing point were truly breathtaking and made the trip worthwhile on their own. Watching the birds nesting and soaring around the cliffs was an amazing experience, and there was always something interesting to see. There's also an excellent visitor centre where you can learn about the history of the area and grab a coffee while you're there. If you forget your binoculars, you can even hire a pair to get a closer look at the birds and really appreciate the wildlife. You definitely don't need to be a bird watcher to enjoy this place. The stunning scenery, fresh sea air, and incredible coastal views make it a must-visit destination and one to tick off your list of places to visit. I would highly recommend it!

A truly magnificent place! Jun 2026 A truly magnificent experience. From breathtaking views and scenery to the amazing sea birds, there is something for everyone here. This is an absolute gem of a place and I would recommend visiting if you haven't already. Parking is available on site. There is a lovely cafe and gift shop. The staff are welcoming, friendly, professional and extremely knowledgeable. You can take your own picnic or purchase something in the cafe. There is indoor and outdoor seating available. Soak in the mesmerising views, capture some amazing pictures and feel the connection to nature. You won't be disappointed. Suitable for all ages and dog friendly. Some of the paths would not be suitable for wheelchairs but you would manage with a pram. Would advise wearing comfortable walking shoes or trainers and be prepared for a breeze if you don't like the wind in your ears. There is equipment such as binoculars available to rent as well as purchase. You will find an array of enthusiasts from newbys to people with the most high tech gadgets, cameras and binoculars.

Visited today while up from Essex, 2nd time I have visited and loved every minute of it, absolutely amazing reserve! Saw some Puffins which made our day and plenty of other sea birds (Gannets, Razorbills, Guillemot’s, Fulmars, Kittiwake’s) and also great to see flocks of Tree Sparrows. Spent a good 4 hours here walking along the cliff tops and watching from the platforms and viewing areas. The views are just amazing. My Wife and I are members so get in free, well worth becoming a member. A great shop which is well stocked with all your RSPB goods as expected and a nice little cafe serving light snacks and drinks. All in all a great place to visit.
