Mrs Cracker’s Cottage
East Riding of Yorkshire
Lund sits quiet on the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds, a village where an 18th-century cottage faces the green. Mrs Cracker's Cottage is a mid-terraced property with genuine age—whitewashed beams, a wood burner, winding stairs—yet the inside works practically for modern stays. Two bedrooms sleep four; one is a zip-and-link double with ensuite, the other a similar configuration without. Both have TV. Downstairs, a living room with Sky Glass TV and wood burner opens to a kitchen-diner at the rear, which overlooks the enclosed garden. There's a utility room with washing machine and separate toilet.
The kitchen handles proper cooking: electric oven and hob, microwave, slow cooker, dishwasher, and space to work. An extendable dining table seats the household. Wifi, electricity, heating, bed linen and towels are included; initial fuel for the wood burner is too. One small dog stays free. The enclosed garden has patio, furniture and barbecue, though there is a step down into it. Parking is on road. No smoking inside.
From here, the coast is a short drive away, as are York and Beverley. The Wolds themselves offer walking country around you. The village has a working landscape rather than a tourist one.
