Leacroft Cottages - Swallow Cottage

Walk into Swallow Cottage and you're straight into a properly set up holiday home. Ground floor holds a living room with smart TV, dining space, and a kitchen fitted with electric oven, hob, dishwasher and the usual appliances—everything you need to cook properly rather than make do. Two of the three bedrooms are down here, each with zip-and-link beds that can be one kingsize or two singles, plus their own shower rooms. Upstairs, the third bedroom has a kingsize bed and access to a family bathroom with both bath and shower.

The whole cottage is yours alone, sleeping six across three bedrooms and three bathrooms. Underfloor heating on the ground floor and air source heating throughout keeps things warm; Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are all covered. Outside there's a lawned garden with decking and furniture, parking for two cars, and a bike store—useful given the cycle routes and walking trails that crisscross the surrounding National Forest. One dog stays free; children are welcome, and a travel cot and highchair can be arranged. No smoking inside.

Yoxall is a working village on the River Swarbourn in the heart of Staffordshire. The National Memorial Arboretum is six miles away, Burton upon Trent nine miles, and the market towns of Lichfield and Ashbourne are within easy reach.
