Families and small groups will find Tawny Cottage works well as a standalone base. Three bedrooms across two floors sleep up to six: a king on the ground floor with ensuite, a second king upstairs, and a zip-and-link room (two single beds that join to make a double) on the ground floor. Two bathrooms mean mornings run smoothly. The ground floor includes a living room with smart TV and a separate dining room leading to a fully equipped kitchen where you can cook properly rather than improvise.

Set in countryside close to Yoxall village, the cottage has its own garden with decked seating and on-site parking for two cars. One pet stays free. Everything you need is provided: wi-fi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels. There's a shared laundry room if required. The National Forest is nearby, walking routes begin almost from the door, and Burton-on-Trent lies about nine miles away. The National Memorial Arboretum and market towns such as Lichfield and Ashbourne are within easy reach. No smoking inside.
