The Old Carthouse

The Old Carthouse began life as a barn and has been thoughtfully converted into a contemporary holiday home. It stands alone in pastoral surroundings, with an orchard garden and pizza oven for outdoor entertaining. The grounds include an unfenced stream, and there is parking for one car on site.

Inside, the ground floor is an open-plan living space with a kitchen equipped for proper cooking, a dining area, and a sitting room with TV and DVD player. Bedroom 1 has two single beds and an ensuite shower room; upstairs, Bedroom 2 offers a double bed with an ensuite bathroom. Both bedrooms have their own bathrooms. The property sleeps 4. Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included, and the owners provide a travel cot, highchair, and freezer access.

A pub lies within a mile. Abbots Bromley is 2 miles away with its own pubs and shops. Uttoxeter, 8 miles distant, has a cinema, bowling alley and racecourse. The Peak District, Alton Towers, Drayton Manor and several National Trust properties are all under half an hour's drive. Smoking is not permitted.
