Framlingham is a mile away by car, giving you access to a high street with independent shops, a twice-weekly market, pubs and restaurants without the need to be in the thick of things. Aldeburgh's concert season, Woodbridge's riverside walks and Southwold's beach and pier are all within reach for a day out. Minsmere nature reserve lies nearby for birdwatching. There are quiet lanes to cycle along and footpaths starting from the gate.

The cottage is single-storey and step-free throughout. Two bedrooms—one with a king bed and ensuite bathroom, one with zip-and-link single beds and access to a separate shower room—sleep four. The open-plan living space has a smart TV and dining area. The kitchen has an electric cooker, dishwasher, microwave and full-sized fridge, plus access to the owner's freezer and tumble dryer. Wi-Fi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included.

You have sole use of an enclosed courtyard with seating and the wider garden beyond, with countryside views across the fields. There is a pond in the owner's grounds. Parking for 2–3 cars is on site, and a bike store is available. No smoking inside. Children are welcome; note there is a pond nearby.
